Kaiba's Smile

One of my internet hobbies involve watching a lot of videos online. One of these is the Yu-Gi-Oh! The Abridge Series by LittleKuriboh.

I mostly did not like the 4Kids version of the anime because I though the Duel Monsters card game was a rip off of Magic the Gathering and I though some of the things the characters did with the card on the show could not be done in a read game of Duel Monsters. Which is one of the reasons why I love the Abridge version because it makes fun of all of the nonsense from the anime.

In addition to all of that, LittleKuriboh did some other videos which talked about the original manga and how the story in its original form makes a lot more sense. Out of curiosity, I picked up the first manga because of the Abridge series and I am liking it a lot and I have every intention to try and read though the other mangas as well.

With that being said, this image above is after I read the second manga where Yugi fights Kaiba for the first time...and he smiled. Considering that when they first show Kaiba in the manga, he clearly looks like the guy who will hold a grudge against someone who beat him at a children's card game, he pulls off an innocent, boyscout smile to convince Yugi he's trustworthy. I don't know if it is enough to kill a puppy but its pretty darn close.
